Forensic Science - we solved the case!

Today we were lucky enough to have an incursion from a Forensic Scientist.  She had set up a pretend missing persons case for us to solve.  We had to use digital microscopes, UV light scanners and scatology to discover what had happened to the missing boy.  The students enjoyed their time learning, using their noticing, collaboration and reasoning muscles to the limit as they used the clues to uncover the result.  Ask your child what happened to the missing boy and how they worked it out.

A Chilly Ice Cream Day But Super YUM!

Once again Year 6 are deeply indebted to the wonderful parents who assisted us in successfully running our final Ice Cream Day fundraiser for the year.  We really, honestly could not have done it without you.  Ice cream was enjoyed by all, and the set up and clean up went incredibly smoothly.  Thank you parents!  Service, as always, was with a smile, and the Year 6 students were a great team.  As soon as we know the amount raised we will let you know.  We hope you enjoy the photos below.

ICE CREAM DAY!

Week 6 over already!

It was another week of fabulous learning.  With the GATEWAYS program attended by some, the Father's Day Stall, and Jersey Day all completed in a week of rain and indoor playtime, it was certainly a memorable time.

One of the most enjoyable times of this week was when our Kindy buddies came to visit us in Year 6, and asked us questions about our favourite playground as part of their learning about environments.  I hope you enjoy the photos of this special time below.
