Just a quick post in support of two of our amazing athletes in Year 6.
The amazing Tia recently had the opportunity to ride for St Luke's at the NSW Interschool State Championships. The event ran for five days at the SIEC (Sydney International Equestrian Centre). Tia represented the school with pride and achieved excellent results. On the first day she came 4th in Combined Training (Dressage and Jumping), which is an incredible achievement. Day two she gained 5th in 80cm Showjumping. Day three she achieved an incredible 2nd in the 90cm Showjumping, and on Day 4 she managed an amazing 8th and 10th in showjumping events. Tia should be very proud of how well she did, but more importantly, that she competed with a positive attitude and great resilience through 36 degree heat and some tough competition. Well done Tia!
The incredible Azaniah also recently competed in the Little Athletics NSW State Championships. She persevered through rain and wet weather to achieve an amazing 10th in the State for discus and an incredible 3rd in the State for Shot Put. What a fabulous achievement. Well done Azi!
Both these students are incredibly humble and probably would not tell you about their achievements. However, I feel it is important to acknowledge the many hours of hard work, practice and perseverance that both girls have put into their sport in order to get to this level of skill. Bravo to the both of you. Year 6 is proud of you both!
